This test measures the path from your browser through your router and ISP to our test server. Running the local test as well helps reveal whether WiFi or the wider Internet path may be the tighter constraint.

Download and upload speed

Time-based streams transfer generated memory buffers and stop automatically. The server neither reads files from disk nor stores uploaded test data.

What is loaded latency?

Loaded latency measures how responsive the connection remains while download or upload traffic is active. A large increase can explain lag during backups, downloads or video calls.

Server capacity is part of the path

Every Internet test is limited by both endpoints. Runs are marked when our node is under pressure so a constrained server is not used to diagnose your network.
