Pairing and signaling
Redis stores short-lived session metadata while the signaling service forwards offers, answers and ICE candidates in memory. Large measurement payloads never pass through signaling.
Direct connection gate
Both browsers inspect WebRTC statistics. Only a selected host-to-host candidate pair with no relay evidence qualifies for the local measurement.
Result comparison
Direction-matched speed ratios, topology answers and capacity flags produce a cautious classification with visible evidence and certainty.
